In the September event that was held virtually, Apple announced the Apple Watch 6, its affordable sibling SE, Apple One, i.e., a hub of Apple services, and the 8th gen iPad. In the words of Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, “Apple Watch and new additions to the iPad family of tablets would be the highlights — and we got an Apple Watch Series 6, Apple Watch SE, a redesigned iPad Air debuting the A14 Bionic chip and a new eighth-gen iPad.” However, we also expected Apple to finally launch the iPhone 12, but it will come a few weeks later.
As of now, we have got all the details for you about the newly announced Apple Watch6, SE, Apple One, and the next-generation iPad. Here, have a look at them.
Apple Watch 6 to Keep You Healthy
The pandemic times have taught us that no wealth is valuable than our health. In an attempt to keep us fit and healthy at all times, Apple includes features such as a Blood Oxygen sensor in the latest Apple Watch 6. This sensor checks the oxygen percentage that the red blood cells carry from your lungs to the rest of the body. Along with this incredible feature, Apple has also included various other health and fitness-related offerings in its new watch series. Here they are.
- It includes a solo loop, i.e., a buckle less band.
- Apple brings home workout sessions to the Apple Watch.
- There is no USB adapter so that the carbon footprint gets reduced.
- You do not need the iPhone to run Apple Watch Family Setup.
- Apple Watch 6 is powered by the latest S6 processor.
Its GPS version is priced at $399. Whereas, the GPS+ Cellular version is priced at $499.
Apple Watch SE, an Affordable Sibling of the Apple Watch 6
If you do not want to spend much to experience the Apple Watch 6, then you can try out its less costly sibling. Apple Watch SE is priced a bit lower than Apple Watch 6 at $279, but it is not at less in value and performance. It runs on Apple on the S5 processor, which is even faster than the processor found on Apple Watch Series 3.
Its incredible features include fall detection, emergency SOS, altimeter, a built-in compass, the latest speaker and microphone, Siri, Walkie-Talkie, and Bluetooth 5.0. Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer, said “Apple Watch SE combines elements of the Series 6 design with the most essential features of Apple Watch, all at a more affordable price. We’re excited to offer another great option to help customers stay connected, be more active, and keep an eye on their health.”
Apple One, One-Stop Destination to Get All Apple Services
In an event held a few months back, Apple announced that it is coming soon with Apple One, i.e., a single place where you can get all the Apple services. The day of its launch has finally arrived. In the September event, Apple launched its Apple One service. Now, there is no need to get a separate subscription for various services. You can avail of all the services by simply subscribing to Apple One.
The starting subscription fee of Apple One is $15 per month, and the package includes Apple Music, Apple TV+, Apple Arcade, and 50 GB iCloud storage.
The All-New 8th Generation iPad is Here
Apple has also announced the 8th generation iPad in its September event. In the words of Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, “We’re excited to offer customers an even faster and more powerful experience with the eighth-generation iPad. With its beautiful 10.2-inch Retina display, the performance boost from the A12 Bionic, great cameras, and so much more, the new iPad is an incredible value at a time when, more than ever, our customers need powerful and versatile ways to work, play, learn, and connect with loved ones.”
The new iPad is powered by an A12 Bionic processor, Apple Pencil Support, Smart keyboard, connector support, and a 10.2-inch retina display. It is priced at $329.
In addition to this, Apple also announced the iPad Air having a 10.9 liquid retina display, P3 wide color, True Tone, and a laminate coating.
Moreover, Apple Fitness+ service was also announced. The service aims to cater to all your home workout needs so that you always remain fit. Its three months free subscription is available with the purchase of Apple Watch 6.
